Welcome to Meadowbrook Suite
At Meadowbrook, Carol and Wilf offer a 1250 sf. full service suite on the ground floor of their home in sunny Brackendale, B.C., winter home of the Bald Eagle. Halfway between the culture of Vancouver and the sport of Whistler and the Callaghan Valley, you will find everything you need to make your stay comfortable and affordable.
Just 35 minutes to Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains and one of the world's most famous Ski Resorts, home to the 2010 Olympics.
In summer you may enjoy our gardens (featured in the 2010 Squamish Garden Tour) with many interesting plants and trees. When weather permits, roast a weiner or a marshmallow over the flames of a bonfire.
Our covered “duck deck” is a great place to watch the creek go by and see the ducks forage. The back garden is bordered by a natural, salmon spawning creek that attracts all kinds of birds and wildlife.
After a glorious day of skiiing, biking or hiking, a game of golf or kiteboarding, you ease your tired muscles into the warmth of an outdoor Jacuzzi tub. As you lie back you can hear the breezes and birdsong from surrounding trees. Or perhaps catch a shooting star in the night sky. Or a snowflake on your nose.

Warm up in the privacy of your suite, in front of a glowing fire. You can settle in to read a good book or watch a movie as you recline on the bed.
A full size kitchen features lots of lovely alder cupboards, full size refrigerator, dishwasher and natural gas stove and oven. It comes equipped with everything you will need to make yourselves at home. The raised eating bar offers a comfortable place to visit with the cook.
Relax in the sitting area with a comfy couch and cozy chair in front of the natural gas fireplace.
Guests are encouraged to relax under an open sky in the 6-person spa or enjoy the solitude of a covered deck along the creek and the natural setting where, in the right season, you can watch ducks rear their young, eagles and gulls tear at a salmon carcass, Stellar’s jays and robins bathe in the shallows, cedar wax wings pull at salmon berries, to name only a few.
We’ve even had two young bear cubs gobble the fruit of the Mountain ash. (If you do see a bear, please retreat slowly back to your room and watch from the safety of your window. Where there are baby bears, there is always a protective mother nearby.)
Birders will be delighted with all the action in the shrubbery near the creek.
